Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on Swamplands. It is a piece that I am relishing the opportunity to take further.

I must take issue, though, with the perception that writing is universally solitary or lonely. Speaking for myself, I am *never* lonely when I am writing; the voices in my head are fantastic company.

PS Doctors’ surgery waiting rooms – now, THEY are lonely.
