But for those who view the speech except – the term ‘Whitlam Baby’ adjusted here as ‘Whitlam Children’ is mine. Since I didn’t invent the biro or the spode I feel a need claim at least this one little term for posteriority! Also, several years older than myself I (as inventor) would not categorise Rush officially as a Whitlam Baby. though he can be a hanger-on or a groupie if wants !! His mind would have already been formed in 1972/3 – which is the year Gough came to power and Armfield myself started uni. And don’t you young people forget it – u owe us everything – except the shit stuff!
