PlayWriting Australia is calling for submissions for its upcoming National Script Workshop to be held in Sydney, 20 June – 1 July 2011.

The National Script Workshop offers playwrights the opportunity to develop their writing over a two-week period of intensive creative development, without the expectation of an immediate performance outcome or the need to produce a performance-ready draft.

Writers are invited to continue the development a new work in its early stages of creative development with directors, dramaturgs and an ensemble of actors. Scripts may be completed first drafts requiring further dramaturgy, or incomplete drafts needing to undergo further development.
